An oil pump is a very important part of any engine or machine. It helps in circulating oil to different moving parts to keep them running smoothly and prevent damage.

Basic Working of an Oil Pump:

1. Oil Suction:

The oil pump pulls oil from the oil tank or sump.

The oil enters the pump through an inlet (suction side).

2. Oil Pressurizing:

Inside the pump, gears or rotors rotate and create pressure.

This pressure pushes the oil forward.

3. Oil Distribution:

The pressurized oil flows through pipes to all parts of the machine or engine.

It reaches bearings, shafts, pistons, and other moving parts.

4. Lubrication and Cooling:

The oil creates a thin layer between moving parts.

This reduces friction and keeps the temperature low.

5. Return to Tank:

After circulating, the oil returns to the tank or sump.

The cycle repeats continuously when the machine is running.
